There is something magical about being able to spend time in a cabin surrounded by snow, especially around Christmas time. This year we were able to make that happen for our family, we stayed at “The Castle & Majestic Lake Views” in Lake Arrowhead, CA.
The castle was huge!! It accommodates 11 guests and has 4 bedrooms. No matter what room you are in, you have some amazing views of the lake, trees and nature. We were in awe of the house; it is surrounded by windows and the views are amazing. You could be lounging in the living room, enjoying dinner at the huge dining table or sitting on the balcony while sipping some coffee and always being able to see the beautiful lake.
The bedrooms all sit on the first floor, which means you don’t have to climb up stairs to get to your rooms. I will say the beds were extremely comfortable. It feels like sleeping on a cloud and again each room had beautiful views of either the lake or the tall trees that sat right outside the cabin. The bedrooms are nicely spread out to give you some privacy while still feeling like you are close to everyone.
The second floor holds the kitchen, dining room, living room and loft, which is the 4th bedroom. The kitchen was probably our most used room throughout the day, it has an amazing stove that we used daily to cook breakfast and dinner when we decided not to venture into town to eat. As much as we like to go out, we enjoyed cooking for our family and friends in this beautiful kitchen and sat around the dining room table enjoying each other’s company while having the view of the lake. The living room had a huge sofa that our little ones enjoyed while they watched some movies and had their snacks. The cabin wouldn’t be complete without a fireplace and this place has one that kept us all warm throughout the day.
The times we did decide to venture out, we had plenty of food options nearby. About a mile away you will find the Lake Arrowhead Village where they have a Stater Brothers marketplace to do some shopping for house essentials, plenty of restaurant options for you to enjoy all kinds of food, I would recommend the “Belgian Waffle Works” for breakfast and “The Lakefront tap room bar and kitchen” for lunch. Both had plenty of options to choose from and amazing food.
We had an amazing time in what felt like a Winter Wonderland! Did I mention the views this cabin has? The pictures don’t give the amazing views justice. We can’t wait to plan another trip.
