It is rare when we are able to book back to back weekend reservations at Disneyland. We wanted to take full advantage of our Disneyland reservations, so we decided to find a hotel near Disneyland. We have stayed at different hotels in the past but we love exploring new places and providing you guys with multiple options for your traveling needs.
The Anaheim Marriott is your home away from home! It is conveniently located just one mile from the Disneyland Resort as well as the Anaheim Convention Center. It has plenty of amenities to make you feel like you are home, the spacious two room suites that they offer were perfect for our family when it was time for our little ones to fall asleep yet allowed us to close the French doors to the bedroom so we can watch tv in the living room area.
Room
We stayed in a beautiful and spacious 1 bedroom 2 room Suite with 2 Double beds. It was perfect for our family of 4. Mommy and Daddy had their own bed, while our daughters had their own bed to share. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows felt like clouds. We definitely went right to sleep after a long day at Disneyland. Both the living room and bedroom had tv’s, which was perfect for the kids to enjoy some cartoons while hubby and I watched a movie. The living room provided a comfy sofa that turns into a sofa bed, added plus in our book!! It also has a mini fridge to keep your drinks cold and a coffee maker for that morning pick me up. One added bonus that my husband loved was the desk for him to get some work done, a perk of working from home is that anywhere can be your home lol.
Amenities
For those having an extended stay, the Marriott has you covered. There is an onsite guest laundry available for you to use if you prefer to do your own laundry while staying at the hotel. There is also a fitness center for those of you who cant go without missing your daily workout. My husband loved the equipment that was available. I don’t know about you, but I have to start my day with a morning coffee to get me going. The Marriott offers an on site Starbucks! If you know me, you know how much I love my Starbucks, I was in coffee heaven knowing that my Starbucks was literally in the main lobby. For those days that you just want to stay and relax at the resort, there is a great outdoor pool with spa for you to lounge in. It is conveniently located right next to the restaurant which we will talk about next.
Dinning
Before heading over to Disneyland, we wanted to make sure we had a good breakfast to start our day and Route 22 Restaurant & Lounge did not disappoint. their buffet breakfast as well as their other breakfast items were just what we needed. They had everything from eggs, country potatoes, sausages, bacon and pancakes. no breakfast buffet would be complete without an omelet station and Route 22 definitely had one, my husband was in heaven since breakfast is his favorite meal of the day. I enjoyed some delicious chilaquiles from their breakfast menu, the pulled pork and sauce were delicious. We would love to give a HUGE shoutout to our server Sasan, he was amazing in every way possible. He made sure we enjoyed everything we had and made some great suggestions. If you happen to see him, make sure to say hello!
We had such a great experience for breakfast that we had to come back at night and try their dinner options as well. So glad that we did, their dinner options were just as good. To finish off the night we enjoyed some items that we could all share. We went with the steak quesadilla, can’t go wrong with some chicken strips and fries and we had a delicious meat lovers pizza called “The Farms”. everything we got was delicious, the portions were big, we couldn’t finish it all. Girls were done after a long day and so much food that they fell asleep on their chairs which let us enjoy some of the cocktails that they have. I went with a cranberry vodka and hubby went with a Mai Tai. I love the convenience of having a restaurant at the hotel, you don’t have to go anywhere and you can enjoy your staycation.
