We had an amazing Spring Break trip planned for our family, the only thing that was missing was the right car to take us on all our adventures. Abigail & Aubrey have never explored Palm Springs so a trip to this desert oasis was a must, we also made a stop for some strawberry picking before ending our trip with a beach trip in San Diego. Let me introduce you to the 2022 GMC Terrain AT4. GMC loaned us this beautiful 2022 Terrain to test drive along our trip.
With so many different stops along the way, we needed a vehicle that could not only tackle different terrains but also had comfort, style and size to make this one great week.
What is new for 2022?
From the moment the car arrived, I fell in love with not just the color but the sleek design. Exclusive to the Terrain AT4 model is a beautiful Desert Sand Metallic color that stands out from the rest. This color is one you have to see for yourself to appreciate the beauty. Believe me, people will notice you driving down the road when you sit on the driver seat. The all-new AT4 model also comes with standard AWD, a perfect addition for any outdoors adventurer. It also has a newly redesigned front-end, redesigned LED headlamps and LED taillamps that were just what we needed for night driving in the desert.
Safety your #1 Priority?
If safety is your top priority, then the Terrain AT4 has you covered. standard on all of these vehicles is the GMC Pro Safety package. You can be sure that GMC is taking safety seriously and giving you all the additional tools to keep you and your family safe in this vehicle. You get everything from auto emergency braking, forward collision alert, lane departure warning and following distance indicator.
You would think that is a plenty right? Well GMC took it even further with their GMC Pro Safety Plus package which is available on SLE, SLT and AT4 models. This package has lane change alert with blind zone alert, which is always helpful when you cant see your blind spots. My personal favorite is the safety alert seat, If there was a vehicle on your blind side, your chair vibrates to alert you!! How cool is that? It also has rear traffic alert to warn you if there is a vehicle coming across when you are backing up.
Entertainment & amazing sound
This car was my tech loving husband’s dream! If you are into technology then this car has plenty of options to keep you entertained. It includes Apple CarPlay and Android auto capability. Also comes with a built-in Amazon Alexa, this was hubby’s favorite since he has Alexa running through our home. It has an available 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot, this was a life saver for our girls since it kept them entertained on long drives being able to use their iPads, if you are a parent, you know how hard it is to keep little ones entertained for long periods of time. The large display is great for navigation and for controlling multiple apps, especially while using Apple CarPlay.
We had an amazing time in the 2022 GMC Terrain AT4, it took us from the desert, to the mountains and the beach all in one weekend. With so many phones and tablets, it was great having usb charging ports throughout the car. Trunk space? you know we love to come prepared for any photo opportunity lol so we always overpack, the trunk had plenty of space to carry all of our items. The heads up display was something new to me and I loved it, I didn’t have to look down at the cluster to see my speed, it was literally in front of me by the windshield. One thing about visiting the desert, you can see the stars at night and the panoramic moonroof was perfect to open and have the whole family lay back and stare at the stars. Now that is the perfect way to end a night. The turbo engine gave us the power we needed for those mountain climbs, the ride was so smooth. Thank you GMC for lending us the brand new 2022 GMC Terrain AT4! I would recommend this car for anyone looking to upgrade.

that sounds like a wonderful car with all its features and safety ratings too.. We do a lot of road trips so will need to keep something like this in mind for when we need to get a new vehicle
