Howard Johnson Anaheim, CA

We recently had the opportunity to stay at the Howard Johnson located in Anaheim, CA right across from Disneyland. My family and I had an amazing time. My family along with The Mommy Blogger Tribe were invited to stay and enjoy the amazing amenities that the HOJO has to offer.

One of the best perks of staying at the HOJO is that it is literally across from Disneyland!! That is right guys, we took the walk and it is an 8 minute walk to the front gates of the “Happiest Place On Earth”. Just a quick stroll down Harbor boulevard and you have arrived. If you stay here, you don’t have to worry about where you will be able to find food for the family. There are plenty of food options to choose from when you walk outside the doors. Oh and don’t forget that you can also visit Downton Disney to enjoy some delicious food and shopping options.

The recently renovated rooms are amazing. Everywhere you look you are reminded of Disney magic, you can tell that the HOJO put plenty of attention to detail to make you feel at home. Our Twinkies eyes lit up when we opened our room door and they saw all the Mickey decorations as well as the rubber duckie that they found in the bathtub, the rubber duck is a staple of the HOJO and you will see it sprinkled through out the hotel. The Mommy Blogger Tribe stayed in Building 2 which is the most recently renovated building. Don’t forget that you can request this building when booking your stay, I would highly recommend that you do.

We all love and enjoy our SoCal weather and what better way to enjoy it than in the water!! The HOJO offers 2 options for you to enjoy, they have the Garden pool as well as the eye catching Castaway Cove. Both do require a reservation so I would try and book a time slot as soon as possible after you book your stay.

The garden pool is a great place to relax and enjoy some time with the family. The pool is 5ft deep so we felt very comfortable with the Twinkies playing there and they had so much fun splashing around. There is plenty of shaded seating for families to relax while not in the water and complementary towels are provided which is one less thing to worry about.

The Castaway Cove is something you have to see to believe, no stay at the HOJO would be complete without a visit here. This pirate themed water park is a huge hit with the little ones!! All the kids from the Kids Blogger Tribe could not wait to get in. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by a huge 30 foot tall pirate ship. There are small slides for the little ones to enjoy as well as a larger slide for those who dare go down. There are splash zones all around where water shoots up and the kids can run around as well as a mini walk in pool for the very little ones where they can sit and enjoy the water.

@GogoSqueeZ are my daughters go to snack! They are convenient when you are on the go or in this case while traveling and on vacation. They are easy to carry as well as use and it prevents spills which is a huge plus when on the go.

My daughters had an amazing time soaking up the sun at the HOJO Castaway Cove water playground. One of my favorite treats to snack on for this Mommy were the @SkinnyDipped Chocolate and Almonds. All the Mommies in attendance were gifted delicious dipped almonds and chocolate from Skinny Dipped. I ate mine outside, in the balcony of our room while hubby and my daughters were sleeping, yeah I wasn’t going to share these delicious treats! @SkinnyDipped makes dipped almonds, peanuts, and cashews and more! I highly recommend you try them out, you’ll thank me later!

My family and I also received a box of doughnuts from @Donas. We were amazed at how beautiful the doughnuts were! Not only were they gorgeous but they tasted delicious! We looked into Donas because we knew we wanted to purchase more in the future and we found out that Donas is a Mexican-American Donut shop that specializes in Latino Flavors. Donas was founded in Downey CA. Say what?! How amazing is that? Will definitely be picking up some doughnuts from @Donas soon!
