How’s your summer going so far? We have been so busy and on the go that every morning my daughters wake up asking “where are we going today?” Who are these kids? lol.

Twinkies at Howard Johnson

One summer trip that we had been looking forward to was our stay at the Howard Johnson located in Anaheim, CA right across from Disneyland. My family along with The Mommy Blogger Tribe had a blast for our 2nd annual “HOJO takeover” as we were invited to stay and enjoy the amazing amenities that the HOJO has to offer.

One of the best perks of staying at the HOJO is that it is literally across from Disneyland!! That is right guys, we took the walk and it is an 8 minute walk to the front gates of the “Happiest Place On Earth”. Just a quick stroll down Harbor boulevard and you have arrived. If you stay here, you won’t have to worry if you will be able to find food for the family. There are plenty of food options to choose from when you walk outside the doors. Oh and don’t forget that you can also visit Downtown Disney to enjoy some delicious food and shopping options.

The recently renovated rooms are amazing. Everywhere you look you are reminded of Disney magic, you can tell that the HOJO put plenty of attention to detail to make you feel at home. Our Twinkies eyes lit up when we opened our room door and they saw all the Mickey decorations. The Mommy Blogger Tribe stayed in Building 2 which is the most recently renovated building. Don’t forget that you can request this building when booking your stay, I would highly recommend that you do.

We all love and enjoy our SoCal weather and what better way to enjoy it than in the water!! The HOJO offers 2 options for you to enjoy, they have the Garden pool as well as the eye catching Castaway Cove. Keep in mind that the Castaway Cove does require a reservation so I would try and book a time slot as soon as possible after you book your stay.

The garden pool is a great place to relax and enjoy some time with the family. The pool is 5ft deep so we felt very comfortable with our daughters playing there and they had so much fun splashing around. There is plenty of shaded seating for families to relax while not in the water and complementary towels are provided which is one less thing to worry about.

The Castaway Cove is something you have to see to believe, no stay at the HOJO would be complete without a visit here. This pirate themed water park is a huge hit with the little ones!! All the kids from The Mommy Blogger Tribe Kids could not wait to get in. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by a huge 30 foot tall pirate ship. There are small slides for the little ones to enjoy as well as a larger slide for those who dare go down. There are splash zones all around where water shoots up and the kids can run around as well as a mini walk in pool for the very little ones where they can sit and enjoy the water.

We would like to thank our amazing sponsors who made our stay even more amazing, they provided many goodies to the tribe and we are very thankful for their support!!

A huge thank you is in order to @Sunstaches who attended our pool party and provided us with the most delicious donuts and gave us all some of the newest Arkaid eyewear to all of our kiddos! I am sure you have seen my daughters rocking their Sunstaches almost everywhere we go, they are a bit obsessed with Sunstaches and do not leave the house without their shades! Be sure to check out both Sustaches and Arkaid for all the newest looks!

@GogoSqueeZ are my daughters go to snack! They are convenient when you are on the go or in this case while traveling and on vacation. They are easy to carry as well as use and it prevents spills which is a huge plus when on the go.

My daughters had an amazing time soaking up the sun at the HOJO Castaway Cove water playground. Thanks to @tubbytodd for providing us with sunstick and helping us keep our kiddos safe! For on-the-go sun protection this Sunstick broad spectrum SPF 30 formula gives our little ones 80 minutes of fun in the sun. Sunstick provides the perfect smooth application and absorbs into skin. We were ready to jump, kick, run and play with thanks to Tubby Todd Mineral Sunstick.

We also received the coolest hand soap from @Onefunco! Twinkies kept asking if they can wash their hands just so they could use their new soap!

Last but not least, thank you to Hilda from Centeno Portraits for taking all of our pictures! Our daughters absolutely love Hilda, she has them smiling from ear to ear every time she sees them. We cannot wait to receive the pictures she took. Are you looking for a photographer? We highly recommend Hilda.
