With Halloween being my favorite holiday, I wanted to make sure to visit SeaWorld San Diego’s Halloween Spooktacular event. SeaWorld Spooktacular offers family friendly Halloween fun and it is included with your SeaWorld ticket. Want to hear some even better news? For the month of October, SeaWorld San Diego is offering one child free admission with one full-paid adult admission until October 31. We had so much fun at SeaWorld that I wanted to write a blog post detailing all the fun things we did at this event.

SeaWorld Spooktacular was a spooky, fun day filled with candy, costumes, colorful characters, music and more. This immersive family event features everything kids love about Halloween, They had everything from trick-or-treating, a hay maze, a Halloween dance party and fun times with their favorite Sesame Street friends.

Let’s talk about our favorite part! We had tons of fun participating in the Spooktacular Pumpkin Hunt! Abigail and Aubrey were being very competitive, tracking down the Halloween inspired painted pumpkins during the Pumpkin Hunt! You can purchase a Spooktacular Pumpkin Hunt Map at The SeaWorld Store to explore the park and to redeem a special prize. Its $15 to participate in the Pumpkin Hunt but not only is it fun but the prizes are awesome!

Sesame Street Countdown to Halloween Show

Join Count von Count as he goes on a journey on his favorite night of the year… Halloween!!! Learning the importance of friendship, he leaves his castle in search of his Sesame Street friends, meeting new friends along the way. See the website for show times https://seaworld.com/san-diego/park-info/theme-park-hours/

We loved seeing everyone dressed up in fun costumes, you could see how excited the kids were to see other kids dressed up as some of their favorite characters. It is great that SeaWorld allows costumes, it makes it extra festive and I believe the adults had just as much fun as the kids. There is something about seeing a child get excited over seeing other kids dressed up and of course the bags full of candies are not left behind. They had plenty of candy stations with an ingenious slide that would drop the candy right into the kids bags.

Things to keep in mind: All guests are welcome to dress up in costumes. Guests who are ages 13 and older may not wear costume masks or hoods, and all costumes are subject to the normal dress code for the park. In addition, face painting is not permitted on any guests unless it is done by park artists.

  1. Wow! That’s a great deal. This means my husband and I only need to pay for our admission tickets and the 2 girls will be free. Thank you for sharing about it. Noted regarding the required candy bag.
